Regis University senior and midfielder for the lacrosse team, Danica Cutshall, was recently named the 2014 IWLCA Division II Scholar Athlete of the Year, one of the top honors given by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association.
The Lakeville, Minn. native led the Regis University Rangers to their best season in school history with a record of 14-3, and helped the team achieve a no. 15 ranking in the final IWLCA national poll. Additional recognition for Cutshall during her tenure at Regis has included: being named to the Capital One Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Third Team (as voted by Division II sports information directors around the country), First Team Academic in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference; last year being named Capital One Academic All-America Third Team; and the year before second team All-America honors.
Cutshall graduated from Regis in May with a degree in neuroscience, with a 3.98 grade point average. She was a member of the university Dean’s List all eight semesters and received the Regis University Crest Club award, given to the top student-athlete.
