It was 25 years ago today that World Youth Day came to Denver and sparked a revolution of faith among young people. Since then, the call of St. John Paul II to proclaim the Gospel “to the ends of the earth” has been answered in more ways than we can count. This week, we’ve published many stories celebrating the 25th anniversary of World Youth Day, stories that highlight of some of the fruits these past 25 years have bore.
More importantly, though, today marks the beginning of the next 25 years. We pray that these stories will serve as inspiration for a new generation to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth and lead others to encounter the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. It’s time for a movement that shows the world how the Church is More Than You Realize, and that movement starts now.
