Regis University to host inaugural Sanctified @ Work Summit Feb. 10

Can work be sanctifying?

That question and more will be answered at the inaugural Sanctified @ Work summit, hosted by Regis University and set to take place on Sat., Feb. 10 at Claver Hall in the Mountain View Room. The one-day event will delve into the intersection of faith and professional life, featuring keynote speaker Professor Dave Geenens from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., along with a lineup of esteemed local leaders and alumni.

Professor Geenens, an expert in linking Catholic Social Teaching with leadership and business, will guide attendees through a transformative exploration of integrating Christian virtue into business The summit aims to provide a unique platform for professionals to grapple with these concepts in a meaningful way.

“Once business leaders understand the ‘why’ behind the importance of applying Catholic social teaching to business, it’s hard to deny the concrete actions that need to take place — and they’ll find the order of society to be renewed and refreshed as their business gets better. Heresy or prophesy? Come and discern for yourself,” said Geenens.

Additional speakers for the Summit include Tim Urban, Partner of Patmos, a cloud hosting company, Co-founder and Medical Director Devon Nelson of Big Life Integrative Health, Owner Paul Tamburello of Generator Real Estate whose projects include Little Man Ice Cream, and an interview-style conversation between Professor Geenens and Regis Catholic Studies professor, Michael Baxter, Ph.D.

Regis alum and affiliate faculty member Ryan Boh, a key organizer of the event, emphasized the importance of bridging the gaps between virtue and faith and the workplace. The conference will showcase real-world experiences from local leaders, fostering dialogue and inspiration for attendees.

“We are excited to host an event focused on asking the question: How do we achieve sainthood through our work as supported by the rich writings and traditions of the Church? Bringing together a diverse group of practitioners to share their experience feels like the right start,” said Boh.

The Denver Catholic community is invited to join this unique opportunity to engage with faith in a professional context. For more information or to register for the event, click here.
