Meet our second round of Totus Tuus missionaries

Totus Tuus is coming to a parish near you! Earlier this summer, we introduced our first round of missionaries. Get to know more of the friendly faces around the Archdiocese this summer!

We asked this summer’s Totus Tuus missionaries some questions, and their responses are below. Keep reading to get to know them better!

Katie Lemoine

Hometown: Ball Ground, Georgia Home Parish: St. Monica’s Catholic Church Favorite Saint: St. Faustina

Why Totus Tuus?

I decided to give my summer to this mission because I think it is something that the Lord so clearly brought right before me. I am looking forward to being challenged in new ways, growing in deeper intimacy with Christ in prayer as I delve into my poverty pouring out all that I have before Him each day through this ministry.

Edward Konizeski

Hometown: Littleton, Colorado Home Parish: St. Mary of Littleton Favorite Saint: Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati

Why Totus Tuus?

I joined Totus Tuus this year because I love working with the youth and specifically teaching them about our amazing faith. I want them to dive into their faith to the best of their ability, and to give them an example of how to live life for Christ.

Ella Swain

Hometown: Denver, Colorado Home Parish: Blessed Sacrament Favorite Saint: St. Francis of Assisi

Why Totus Tuus?

Because I want to spend my time ministering to others in a meaningful way. Also, because I feel called to fulfill a mission of evangelizing to the youth in a personal and vulnerable way.

Bailey Terese Link

Hometown: Brush, Colorado Home Parish: St. Mary’s Catholic Church Favorite Saint: St. Elizabeth of Hungary

Why Totus Tuus?

I chose to be a Totus Tuus missionary because I want to spend my summer rooted in prayer, community, and ministry. I grew up attending Totus Tuus and it had a huge impact on me, so I am excited to be able to be a part of the team!

Ashton Mendoza

Hometown: Greeley, Colorado Home Parish: St. Peter Favorite Saint: St. Teresa of Avila

Why Totus Tuus?

I joined Totus Tuus in one part, because I believe the Lord desires me to it firstly. I desire to go out into the Church and help teach, because my faith is my greatest passion, and I love teaching, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do so!

Cecilia Montoya

Hometown: Parker, Colorado Home Parish: Ave Maria Catholic Church Favorite Saint: St. John Paul II

Why Totus Tuus?

I decided to give my summer to Totus Tuus because I didn’t want to spend another summer spending my time doing a Job that wasn’t bringing a light into my life. I am super excited to be working with all different types of people and to help bring the light of God into their lives as well as mine.

James Joseph

Hometown: Denver, Colorado Home Parish: St. Vincent de Paul Favorite Saint: St. Joseph

Why Totus Tuus?

I was selected for this ministry by my vocations director. Nevertheless, I am very much looking forward to this ministry. Totus Tuus is a huge blessing to the children and youth of parishes, as it was for me when I participated as a child. It provides a real, sincere, yet engaging and energetic renewal in the faith for the children of the parish.

Elise Fernandes

Hometown: Parker, Colorado Home Parish: Our Lady of Lourdes Favorite Saint: St. John Paul II

Why Totus Tuus?

I decided to devote my summer to Totus Tuus missionary through the divine providence of God. I knew I wanted to spend this summer in a deeper devotion to Christ before college and when this opportunity came up, I could not say no! I enjoy working with kids and Totus Tuus gave me the perfect opportunity to do in a summer what is usually a yearlong commitment for missionary work.

Cody Bliss

Hometown: Highlands Ranch, Colorado Home Parish: St. Mark’s Catholic Church Favorite Saint: St. Peter

Why Totus Tuus?

As a seminarian assigned to Totus Tuus, I believe it’s important to share the joy of the Catholic faith with young people and help them grow in their relationship with Christ. I am most looking forward to driving relationships with other Catholics and seeing them grow and embracing in myself a pastoral heart.

Please keep these missionaries in your prayers as they give their time and talent to our children this summer.
