‘Everyday Disciples’ Inspire Year of Giving

The 2023 Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal wraps up at the end of the year and has been marked with great generosity from sacrificial donors who chose to be “Rooted in Christ – Spreading His Mission – and Sharing His Fruit.”

The annual appeal is the largest fundraiser of the archdiocese. This year, the appeal highlighted stories about ordinary people who answered the call to spread Christ’s message of discipleship.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing” (Jn 15:5).

Each month, the appeal has shared the good works of selfless disciples who extend Christ’s message of salvation like branches from the vine.

Whether the disciple is praying the Rosary with the elderly, rescuing young people from street violence, or feeding the hungry, these disciples share a love of Christ and desire to share that love with others in need.

“I’m finding my purpose,” said August Disciple of the Month Cesar Sanchez.

Sanchez’s full story and the inspiring stories of all the 2023 Disciples can be found at archden.org/EverydayDisciples. Read about the most recent Disciple of the Month on the inside back cover of the latest Denver Catholic magazine.

Thank you for supporting the mission of discipleship. If you have not yet shared your love with others in need, or would like to make an additional Christmas gift, please visit archden.org/givenow.

Special thanks to the leaders in giving who enrolled in the Nine Choirs of Angels giving society. Whether a Guardian Angel or a Seraphim, these more than 2,200 donors have chosen to consistently “serve one another humbly in love.” (Galatians 5:13). Donors enroll in the Choirs of Angels with a one-time gift of $1,000 or more, or a recurring monthly donation of $84.
