The parish year of the Eucharistic Revival is underway, and it brings with it many exciting happenings around the Archdiocese of Denver.
As part of the Eucharistic Revival pilgrimage (details here), the various pilgrimage sites will be hosting guest speakers for talks centered around the Eucharist as a way to help the faithful grow in their own devotion.
For the next talk in the speaker series for the Eucharistic Revival, visit the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and join Father Doug Grandon, chaplain for FOCUS and Denver’s very own Eucharistic preacher designated by the National Eucharistic Revival. Last year, Father Grandon penned an article about the importance of the Eucharistic Revival and the wonderful opportunity it presents to the Church.
Father Grandon will be sharing his 10 year journey to the Catholic faith. After hearing and coming to believe the Gospel at the age of 14, he married his now wife, Lynn, and became a priest in the Episcopal church. In 2003, he and his family entered into full communion with the church and in 2008, Pope Benedict granted permission for him to be ordained a married Catholic Priest.
Come and learn more about Father’s 10 year journey into the Catholic faith. The talk will begin at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral and will take place in the basement hall, which is accessed through the double doors on the west side of the cathedral along Logan Street.
